This year's Guangzhou International Light Festival will last from December 27, 2022 to January 8, 2023, totaling 13 days, according to a notice from the committee of Guangzhou International Light Festival on December 23.

Featuring high-tech digital technology like the augmented reality technology, this year's festival enables citizens to enjoy innovative AR light shows against the backdrop of the Canton Tower and the Five-ram Statue, through WeChat mini program "云看灯光节". The surreal impactful images will surely leave the audiences in awe and wonder. Besides, amazing light artworks displayed in previous years can be appreciated on the mini program.


Also, light shows will be staged on Guangzhou's landmarks, such as 24 buildings on Yanjiang Lu along the Pearl River, Liede Bridge, buildings on the west area of Pazhou in Haizhu district, and the big screens in Beijing Lu business circle. Special lighting on Haixinsha, night cruise ships on Pearl River and Canton Tower will be prepared for the festival. In addition, light artworks will be showcased on GBA Innovation Bay in Nansha district.
